Globe Telecom launched their new prepaid promos, Super Trio 40 and Super Dami Text, at the Kagay-anon Restaurant last sunday, May 29, 2011. The media briefing/ press conference were attended by several people from the newspaper , radio, and blogging communities.  Officers from Globe Telecom explained the new offers of their company and willingly answered questions and concerns raised by the media. After awhile, Vice Ganda, the new Globe prepaid endorser, graced the media briefing as well.

These new prepaid promos, Super Trio 40 and Super Dami Text, offered by Globe specifically address the communication needs of their subscribers in the provinces. More personalized and with a cheaper rate, Globe subscribers specifically the Kagay-anons will surely enjoy "super dami" texts and calls.

For more details, visit Globe Telecom's website or visit your nearest Globe Telecom Center.

On the other hand,  Globe's Super Moves: CDO's Super Talent Contest was also happening at the Limketkai Parking Lot E while the media briefing was going on. After the briefing, we went to the dance contest venue to watch the awarding of the  winners. Congratulations to all winners! Indeed, Kagay-anons are talented!

Thank you Globe for  the new prepaid promos and  for giving Kagay-anons the chance to show their talents! :)

I'm a sucker for yogurts! I came to love this healthy snack from the time it came out  in the market.

Now, it has evolved into a yummier version to cater to those who are not really fond of it!  This version is called Frozen Yogurts. It's like an ordinary sundae but is healthier. One of which is Kiwi Swirl.

Since they built Kiwi Swirl Cafe, I've been a regular customer. Every time I pass by the area, I always make a point of having a frozen yogurt from their store. Their yogurts are cheap. You can buy a cup of it in less than a hundred. Plus, you can stay at their cozy cafe with free wifi.

My favorite is the one with ripe mangoes. This is what I order most often.

Look at the interior. Very cozy.

For a early morning treat or a lazy afternoon chill.

That's my friend Jeza...

...and I having our frozen yogurt treat!

It's located at Don Apolinar Velez St. corner Gaerlan St, CDOC.

For queries, email 'em at kiwi.swirl@yahoo.com or visit their "Kiwi Swirl Frozen Yogurt" facebook page.

Before, I was alone. Now, I keep on communicating with you.

Before, I was lonely. Now, I'm happy.

Before, I was uninspired. Now, I'm inspired.

Before, I was stressed. Now,  I enjoy.

Before, I was numb. Now, I am emotional.

Before, I was always frowning. Now, I smile even if I'm tired.

Before, I thought of becoming single forever. Now, I am thinking of a happy ending.

Before, I wake up each day ordinarily. Now, I wake up wanting to read your early morning sms.

Before, I sleep at night feeling dull and bored. Now, I sleep at night feeling light from our phone conversation.

Before, I lived a routinary life. Now, I look forward to each new day.

Before, I was sane. Now, I'm crazy (And you know  what that means).

My life was different. Then, we've crossed our paths. Things changed. And it never been the way it used to be.

I guess, that's how love works. <3

Love,

Roxanne

UWAHIG: Journey to the time when the epic of Man began

Last May 18, 2011, the Integrated Performing Arts Guild performed another play at the Xavier University Covered Courts. Here's a snippet of their performance:

At the end of the performance, an open forum was made. The play's director Steven Fernandez answered questions thrown by the audience about the play. The audience  shared the same sentiments at the end. The play brought us to confusion. We all have different interpretations of the play. At the end, Steven said  the play could be interpreted in so many ways and all the interpretations are correct. The meaning and relevance of the play vary from one person to another. He also pointed out what they are doing in the guild is to show the audience something new in the performances. Something unpredictable. Something that will encourage the audience to think. Something that will bring out the creativity of the audience.

That's the modern musical play. Filipino way.

I had a  blast with the Cdobloggers last night at Missy Bonbon. We participated in the 1st CDO trivia night. The launching was actually brought by the people behind the successful Cebu Trivia Nights.  It has invaded CDO now and it will happen every Saturday night at Missy Bonbon.

The mechanics were actually simple. All we have to do is to create a team and answer the trivia  questions by group. There were 4 sets of questions. Each set had 3 categories  and in each category, there were 8 questions with corresponding number of points. What were the categories?  Gems, Geography (Europe), Movies (Chic Flicks) , Sports, Dance, Music, Food (Pasta), and People (Famous Europeans). Categories  vary every trivia night, so the questions would really be unpredictable.

Yesterday, we placed 4th (with 58 points) and we got P250-worth of Miss Bonbon gift certificates but it was actually all Edu's effort. The rest of us were just cheerers and we only did a little contribution. So, I guess the team's  name should be "Team Edu" and not "Team Blag.Com". hehehe.

Let's join CDO Trivia Nights every saturday  at Missy Bonbon. Contest starts at 8pm. See yah! :)

"I run to help a dialysis patient..." This was the motto and motivation of all the 4:30 RMR Kidney  Run runners, may it be on the 2 K, 5 K, 10 K, or 21 K category.

I chose to run at the 5K category. Even though I was already able to finish a 10 K run in Manila, I knew I had to choose a shorter distance because of my current health status.

I really thought that the gunstart of the 5K category  is 6am. But when I arrived there (Divisoria Kiosko) at 5:25 am, I was almost late because they decided to start the run earlier! Fortunately, I still had 30 seconds to wear my singlet. I was not even able to do stretching and all.

The 5K run started at almost 5:30am and together with my co-teacher Jeza, we finished the run at exactly 6am. That's a record  breaker for me. Shorter time than my previous 5K run! Yey!

For me, it doesn't matter whether I win or not on a running event. What's important is I'm always able to finish  the journey without (a) getting any physical pain and (b) that I'm  able to help sick patients in my own little way.

There's another fun run coming up on June sponsored by Talk N Text. I'm gonna go on that too! :)

Let's run!

Dear Mr. Now,

When our paths have crossed, I thought you were just going to pass by.

When I’ve come to know you, I thought you will just be another face in the crowd.

When I talked to you, I thought you’re intention was to have fun.

I never thought we’ll click.

I never thought we’ll be close.

I never thought we’ll think of getting to know each other so well.

You’re funny, spontaneous, and happy-go-lucky. Basically, not my type. Not the one I’m looking for. I told myself that. I never entertained the thought of getting close to you.

I was into someone else. I was falling in love with him. I was swoon by his personality. I thought he WAS the one.

But I failed with that person. He was the one who came and left.  So, I give up.

But you came and NEVER left.

You stayed. You’re staying. You chose to stay as long as it takes.

And I just couldn’t help myself but be drawn towards you. I guess that’s how LOVE works.

My first impression about you was completely gone with the wind. Now, I like you for being who you are. Unpretentious, honest, and sincere. And I am mesmerized by that each day.

I wait for your calls. I wait for you to be online. Because you’re part of my system now. You may be far from me, but each time we talk, each time we chat; it feels like you’re just there beside me. No distance can hinder that. You never fail to let me feel how important and special I am to you.

And every time you say “I love you”, I know I have been completely embraced by your genuine sweetness.

And I just can’t wait for that perfect moment when I can already say I love you too.

Love,

Roxanne

I am now  officially registered to the Cebu Blog Camp 2011!

I first heard about the blog camp through Wella and by the encouragement of my new blogging peers, I registered myself last month. I was not really confident (being a novice blogger) but I thought there's no harm on trying anyway. Plus, I was convinced when I saw the programme in the website.  Interested blogging topics like photoblogging, travel 101, and social media  marketing caught my attention. These are the things I would really love to learn. So, that made me more enthusiastic!

Now, I am  more excited when I received the confirmation through email and I'm almost  a hundred percent sure to go... especially that some of my blogging friends will be there too.

Hey, if you're interested to join, it's not yet late! You may still register at the  blog camp's official website.

See  yah on May  28! :)

Yay! After 21 years, I was now able to gain courage to get a tattoo.  Not the permanent one though 'coz I'm not allowed. Just the henna.  I am not actually fan of tattoos. In fact, I do not like having this kind of 'dirt' in my body and I kinda swore I will never have one in my entire life.  But since this is one of my pre-birthday dares for my 22nd birthday, I have no choice, I just have to do it! Good thing, Wella had hers too. We even have the same design. That was fun!

Getting my 1st  ever henna tattoo made me so nervous.  LOL

That's the blogger of  spotlifegalore.com having her henna too. Thanks for accompanying me, girl! :)

And that's  my "still wet, very big" henna tattoo.

This is just for this summer. At least, I was able to fulfill one of my pre-birthday  dares. Now, I'm just waiting for 1-2  weeks for it to fade.  I'm not sure if I will do it again. hehehe.

Hey guys! Mother's Day  is just around the corner. And just like me, I know you are already thinking of what to give to your moms on that very special day. Instead of the traditional gift-giving, why not try giving something new? Let them have a make-over and have their beautiful portraits taken. I'm sure it will be a wonderful experience to the beloved women in our lives!

This May 8, 2011 at the LimKetKai Atrium, volunteers of Help-Portrait CDO is organizing a photoshoot and make-over for all moms for FREE!

Cool eh? Definitely! Now, I'm thinking of going there with my mom. I know she will enjoy the treat! Have your moms experience this too. See yah! :)
